Switching to Pinnacle

When switching to Pinnacle (like any new dog food), we recommend that you switch your dog over slowly. This is very important so you don’t disrupt your pet’s digestive pattern. Changing foods often cause diarrhea if not done correctly. Therefore, we recommend a 5-day transition before you begin feeding Pinnacle exclusively.

Solved my 11-year-old lab's severe skin problem

After 3 years of worsening skin problems and a wide variety of vet treatments and medications, a veterinary worker suggested we try switching to salmon and potato.
OMG what were we doing? Our lab had extremely dry skin, constantly scratching with sores and what looked like a black mold on his belly, butt, legs and hind quarter. He looked bad and we felt terrible!
With Pinnacle potato and salmon there is no more scratching, no sores, no black mold, and sickly thinning coat. We were disappointed the recommendation to switch dog food did not come from the vet.
We are still amazed with the change in just 2-3 months.

Pinnacle - Limited Ingredient

I received the recommendation as a more natural healthy alternative to the more commercialized brands of avoderm, royal canine, and others. That have either reduced the quality of there food over time or bought out by larger pet food companies and drastically change the formulas. I was very pleased to have changed considering my english bulldog started to get allergies from those other foods. Her allergies eased dramatically once i started her on the Pinnacle. I find the food to be substantially better in quality and ingredient structure and hierarchy of the elements contained within. i find it equally comparable to Halo and Lonovo. The only negative is that if your dog has yeast problems inside and out then this product delivers its fair share of sugars(Carbs) from the potatoes which help fuel the yeast. i used for several months and would recommend to other dogs without yeast problems. good luck but, trying many types and finding the one that works is the best strategy.

For sensitive stomach

My pointer mix has a sensitive stomach, and he also has a sensitivity to chicken. This has been working really well. Solid stools and no more noticeable gas! My small dog, a Havanese , is also doing well on it, but he has a strong stomach anyway. And they both seem to love the taste. As an added bonus, the pieces are small. So that is helpful for my little dog.

This food has been a lifesaver for my 1 and a half-year-old Doberman. My Rocco was plagued with a sensitive stomach and "very soft stools". Immediately after starting Pinnacle his digestive issues were resolved. He also has skin and allergy issues. His skins and coat have even begun to improve. If you have a dog with stomach issues or allergies I highly recommend it!
