Q: Any experiences with Merrick?
Are there any Cavalier owners out there that feed their dogs Merrick? I just ordered some of the dry puppy plates for my 4-month-old puppy. I'm going to switch her from Purina Pro Plan Small Breed Puppy to Merrick. She's never really liked the pro plan, and I would always have to add canned food to it so she would eat it. I'm hoping she'll like this better, cause she LOVES vegetables. Any feedback from Merrick feeders would be great! Even if your dog isn't a Cavalier!! Thanks!

I do not have a CKCS but Merrick is a significantly higher quality food than any Purina variety. All dogs react to different foods differently so it will be your call to determine which yours does better on. I give you credit for wanting to feed the best food you can. If, for any reason, Merrick doesn't work out for your dog, try another premium brand with a 5 star or higher rating on dogfoodanalysis.com. Good luck!

I have a Cavachon ( part CKCS) 2.25yrs Old and we finally landed on a Merrick dry food that he likes. It’s a small plates sweet potato type and we mix in a little meat as a topper! Good luck!

I love Merrick products and recommend them to everyone, especially people who have picky dogs.
The quality is wonderful and I have never had any issues whatsoever.
The Puppy Plate is great for your little pup, but luckily you can feed the other varieties along with it because all of the formulas are "all life stages". Enjoy!

We just got a new puppy that is a mutt, but part Cavalier. He is 11 1/2 weeks old. I chose Merrick Puppy Plate, as well. Our other dog, a Bull, has to have prescription food, so I searched for something that I thought would be really good, and I too, chose Merrick. He is eating really good and has small, firm stools three times a day.(That's how often I feed him, also) The lady we got him from was feeding Iams Puppy Smart, and I sure wasn't going to continue with that junk. So far, so good. I'm interested in all the responses of longtime users of Merrick, myself. We use to feed Nutro Natural Choice for years, but, I think I made a good upgrade for our new little guy. - Should I switch from Blue Buffalo to Merrick dog food?
- How long should diarrhea last after the change of food?
- Would you rather feed your dog Pedigree or Purina?

I don't have a Cavalier, but I feed Merrick to my beagle. She's on the Senior Medley formula, she's a senior dog @ 17 yo. She's been on Merrick for about 3 years and is doing very well.
My young dachshund is on Canidae. Thee Merrick is a little too rich for him.
