Angela: I need help naming a male/female Samoyed dog!?
I am getting a Samoyed puppy this summer and I am not sure if I am getting a male or a female yet so I was wondering if anyone has ideas for naming both a male and female?
For a girl, I was thinking Koda, but we already have a dog named Cody so that could get confusing, and for a male, I thought of Cosmo, but that's all the ideas I have so far! Any suggestions are welcomed! Thanks : )

I had a samoyed too. She was a girl and her name was Nana.
We picked the name because enano on spanish meaning dwarf suited her size when we got her.
She responded very well too.

My friend has a male samoyed named Koda and Cody haha.
It depends on the colouring and personality of the dog.
Will he/she have biscuit coloring or completely white?

If I were to get another dog I'd name her Aroura :)
And I also like memphis for a male, or dozer!

Why not try a Russian dog name? It might be a good idea to give it to your new puppy. If your new puppy is of Russian dog breed like Samoyed it is quite natural to give such a name to him or to her. Even if it’s not, it can still be cool because Russian dog names sound unusual and attract attention.
The name of your new puppy should match its appearance and personality. It would be strange to give the same name to the savage Caucasian Dog and to the miniature terrier.
Of course, you can call your Russian puppy just “Sobaka” which means dog in Russian. But it’s much better to use this website for a creative and fortunate selection of the proper Russian dog name.
