Q: Are Yorkies hypoallergenic? I'm allergic to my friend's Maltipoo though Poodles and Maltese are considered hypoallergenic. I don't want to be allergic to my Yorkie. No breed is hypoallergenic and if you have serious allergies, you may be allergic to any breed or any given dog. Go to an allergist and get tested before you get the puppy. They will be able to tell you how serious your dog allergy is and whether it can be corrected with shots or pills. Please don't buy the puppy and then have to take it back.
