Best way once a month….in your case 2 times is OK!
But try to use Oatmeal Puppy Shampoo!
Or you can just rinse his paws and belly with water…this will not harm him!

We bathe our Bichons once a month. We have on occasion bathed them twice a month due to thawing conditions. Usually a good brushing will do. If not, give them a bath in an oatmeal shampoo that way it will not be as harsh on their skin. Make sure to brush and dry them well so they do not matt up.
Just remember too many baths in a months time can cause skin irritations. Bichons are prone to skin irritations ,so be very careful with the products you use.

Bathe your Bichon Frise once or twice a month and brush three to four times a week.

It also depends on the type of hair cut your dog has.

Don't bath you dog to often as it can irritate the skin.

you should bath about once a week, with a soap free shampoo ( because soap gets rid of the effectiveness of flea control products like frontline etc) you can also to spot cleans on your pup if she really needs it.

because she is a Bichon i would also start taking her to a groomer asap to get her use to it at a young age especially if she likes playing in the mud!! lol
