loren: Could somebody give me some info on these breeds?
okay, im looking for a puppy, and I have read a lot on the internet, but everyone seems to be bias and totally unfair to each other on the topics. So, I would like only people that actually KNOW and have had first hand experience with these breeds to answer or give an opinion on them. Here are the list of the breeds I would like to know about.
1. Cane Corso
2. Caucasian Ovcharka
3. Presa Canario
4. French Mastiff(Douge De Bordeaux)
I would mostly like to know about your exp. with behaviors. I have heard stories that can argue that all of these breeds can be on the amazing and horrible breed side, I would like to know a totally unbias opinion. Thanks so much.
No offence too you, but ive prob dealt with the amount of dogs you have within your 40 years than I have in my 19. Ive been around dogs my entire life, my mom was a vet and breeder for 32 years. Ive dealt with IW's, Mastiffs, and everything inbetween, but I havent had the luck to deal with anything I asked about except the French Mastiff, my friend owned 2 that were around 140 pounds for the female and the male was around 180. So I have dealt with the biggest and baddest of the dog world.
Yeah, I head Cane's were kind of bull headed, but I think I have the focus to train one. The overall behvaior of a Presa I think alone sounds like a better choice, but again, ive never owned or worked with one. Thanks for the advice though, ill keep that in mind.
Jennifer M- Thanks so much. That was my first thought about the Mastiff, I know they are sweet and gentle for there size, but that can be a pain becuase of it. and ive found in a few cases that they act like a small dog, when they get excited they like to jump on people, and run around, which with there size can be a real hazard. Thanks so much for the insight.

If you have to ask about any of these breeds on YA it clearly proves that you are not ready to own any of them.
The "biased" articles have probably pointed out that none of these breeds are for inexperienced dog owners.
I suggest you to go the shelter and find a nice settled adult to bring into your family.
