DeniKaye: How to take care of a one month old poodle mix?
My cousin got a 1 month old female poodle mix from her friend yesterday, and I wanna help take care of it.

Are there any tips to take care of her? Or warnings that I have to watch out for?

One gives it back to it’s mother, since it’s too young to leave the litter until it’s 8 weeks old.

One month old? As in like 4-5 weeks? The best way for her to take care of it is to bring it back to its mother for another 4-7 weeks.

Warning #1 – a month old is WAY too young for a puppy to be away from its mother. This dog could grow up to have some serious problems. Even if a puppy is weaned, it still needs to stay with mom and littermates to learn proper dog behavior.

Tip #1 – get this puppy back to its mother immediately and leave it there until it is 8-10 weeks old.

In many areas, it is illegal to sell a puppy under the age of 8 weeks old.
