Well, neither.

Stop supporting breeders and go to your local pound. I’m sure there’s more than one small breed puppy that you’d fall madly in love with. Not only is it more likely to be up to date with shots and already spayed/neutered, but you also won’t be paying hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for it.

To find one of those puppies from a breeder more than likely won’t cost you less than $ 300. On top of that you’ll have to have it spayed/ neutered and get it up to date on all of its shots. That could ost you hundreds, but is dependent on the vet you would be taking it to. Even after all of this, there’s still a possibility of losing it to a multitude of smell breed dog issues.

I don’t know how you expect us to tell you as we don’t know a thing about you or your life style and the costs vary dependent on a wide variety of things! You apparently think we’re all psychics…no psychics here.

  1. Ignorance is Bliss says

It depends on the breeder and where you are located.

Since my shih tzus and Yorkies are show quality they cost a bit more than a pet quality puppy. My first shih tzu show quality shih tzu cost me $ 3000.00 and My second $ 2500.00 my 2 pet quality shih tzus were just under $ 800.00 each they come from reputable show breeders but they have minor faults. My 2 yorkshire terriers were nearly $ 2000.00 each my first pet yorkshire terrier I got from the humane society she consted $ 245.00 not bad she was older though.

Vaccinations all cost the same wether its a shih tzu or a labador retreiver such medicines for any ailment will usually be cheaper for a small dog and supplies for small dogs are allot cheaper.

I like shih tzus I just love how mellow, and laid back they are. My 2 yorkies are always running around they are allot more active and curious.

Please read up on shih tzus because they are not for everybody.

I say yorkie. And This all depends. The prices of dogs are always different from breeder to breeder. Also, it depends on the food, bowls, toys, beds, crates, shampoo, flea and tick things, stain and order removal, diapers, and etc. the prices to the vet are all different. If you get a dog i recommend
the petsmart puppy starter kit. Also follow this
Its a list of what you’ll need

  3. Makeda Williams says

Yorkshire Terriers seem oblivious of their small size. They are very eager for adventure. This little dog is highly energetic, brave, loyal and clever. if humans are not this dog’s pack leader, they can become suspicious of strangers and aggressive to strange dogs and small animals. They can also become yappy, as the dog does their best to tell you what THEY want YOU to do. They are often only recommended for older, considerate children, simply because they are so small. so if u have children thats probably a bad idea their very wonderful dogs thoug A lover of comfort and attention.. the Shih Tzu is less demanding and less yappy than most other toy breeds , he enjoys cuddling on laps and snuggling into soft pillows. He makes a terrific pet for senior citizensMost Shih Tzus are friendly (or at least polite) with strangers, though socialization is necessary to develop this trusting temperament. Shih Tzus are also peaceful with other pets.
Though he has an aristocratic demeanor, a stubborn streak, and definite likes and dislikes, the Shih Tzu doesn’t tend to get into much trouble, and even when he doesn’t obey very quickly, he’s easy to forgive. Training will actually go very well if you rely on consistency, praise, and food rewards. The most difficult thing to teach a Shih Tzu is housebreaking. sorry for the long answer but its really up to you which one sounds better for you?
